Description of Services:
Women's Centre in Minden - Women Helping Women. The YWCA Women's Centre offers referrals and advocacy, a lending library, information and literature on other community support services, health and well being programs for women, volunteer opportunities * Outreach support workers provide crisis intervention, support, advocacy and information to women experiencing abuse.
SAFE SPACE AND SUPPORT PROGRAM offers help with safety planning, finding and maintaining housing, accompaniment to appointments, achieving your goals - short and long term planning, support and encouragement, information and referrals to: Ontario Works and ODSP, Legal Aid, lawyers and courts, programs for children, job training, counselling and education. Call the YWCA Transitional Support Worker (Mon-Fri) at the Women's Centre in Minden to make an appointment. Home visits and transportation needs are considered. Confidentiality assured.
