  • Operation Supervisor is based at the Public Works garage in Red Lake; contact him to book appointment as walk-ins only available if time permits

Description of Services:

Oversees the operations and maintenance of city infrastructure and related services
Roads and Transportation
  • Maintains and repairs local roads, curbs, sidewalks, and ditches
  • Responsible for snow removal, sanding and salting roadways and sidewalks
  • Responsible for street lighting and traffic signals
Sewer and Wastewater
  • Provides and maintains sewer and wastewater services
  • Provides inspections for new homes that have sewer lines connected to the municipal system; requires initial internal piping inspection by building inspector
Waste and Recycling Management (Landfill)
  • Responsible for residential and commercial waste and recycling collection
  • Contracts Chukuni Sanitation Inc for regular curbside collection
  • Posts waste and recycling collection schedules online
  • Disposal of recyclables available at no charge at the Recycling Transfer Station (Landfill)
  • Provides household hazardous waste disposal at landfill
  • Provides online lists for acceptable hazardous waste and recyclable products
